Chapter 1 serves as an introductory chapter for the manual.
Pertinent information in this chapter includes:
- Manuals and reports of other projects that may affect the operation of the project
- Identification of the project owner and agency or agencies responsible for its operation
- List of pertinent reports and design memoranda for the project
This chapter includes the references to Corps documents that guide the development of water control manuals. Additionally, the agency responsible for operational duties at the project is listed as well as the agency responsible for the regulatory issues associated with the project.
