This post will discuss the development of simulations in HEC-ResSim.
Each simulation in HEC-ResSim will be defined with a lookback date, a simulation start date, and a simulation end date. Within a simulation, multiple alternatives can be simulated.
In the screenshot below, the simulation is defined as follows:
Lookback date = 05Jan2016 at 12:00 hours
Simulation start date = 10Jan2016 at 12:00 hours
Simulation end date = 25Jan2016 at 18:00 hours
There are two alternatives available to be simulated. These alternatives are named "exist alt" and "prop alt". The reservoir networks associated with the simulations are "existing" and "proposed".
